These classes can be taken at one of our training facilities or at your workplace. We also offer on site training for groups, clubs, school, and associations.
The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
The AHA’s BLS Renewal course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.
Before attendance of a BLS Instructor-led hands-on skills session, students must successfully complete the online portion, including the course exam. Students must present their current completion certificate before entry into an Instructor-led hands-on session. AHA online HeartCode® training sold separately.
The HeartCode® BLS for Healthcare Providers Course covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation. For healthcare providers such as EMS personnel, physician assistants, doctors, dentists, nurses, and respiratory therapists who must have a credential(card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course. This would also include nursing students, EMT students and anyone that is interested in becoming a BLS Instructor.

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants.
The Heartsaver® CPR AED course trains participants to give CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. The AHA Heartsaver CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
The Heartsaver® First Aid course trains participants first aid basics for the most common first aid emergencies, including how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. The AHA Heartsaver First Aid Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements.
The Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course trains participants how to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The AHA Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course is designed for anyone involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Blended Learning Course and is designed to teach students information needed for first aid, CPR, and AED training. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor. This course is skills portion for those who have completed the online portion.
Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid CPR AED is geared towards anyone involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Including: childcare workers, teachers, camp counselors, etc. This online portion of the course can be completed in approximately 2 to 3 hours. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver® Instructor.
Heartsaver® First Aid Total with CPR AED teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrive. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants. The CPR AED component of this training will teach students to provide high quality CPR and teaches students how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. The First Aid component will teach students the duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings.
Heartsaver® First Aid Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver First Aid blended learning course, designed to teach students the cognitive information needed for first aid training. The AHA Heartsaver First Aid Course is designed for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in first aid to meet job, regulatory, or other requirements. Upon completion of the online portion, students must complete a hands-on session with an AHA BLS or Heartsaver Instructor.

American Heart Association BLS and/or Heartsaver® Instructor Course. This course prepares an individual to teach American Heart Association First Aid and CPR courses. Upon registering for this instructor course, participants will be contacted to determine materials needed prior to class.
This Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogens course teaches students how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).

ACLS is for healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies and for personnel in emergency response.
HeartCode® ACLS is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method for the AHA’s ACLS Course. Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner, followed by a hands-on session. HeartCode® ACLS is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. To enter the course, students must complete a precourse self-assessment. Students will then be presented with a team dynamic lesson and 10 In-hospital patient cases, including a BLS case and 2 megacode cases.
Before attendance of a ACLS Instructor-led hands-on skills session, students must successfully complete the online portion, including the course exam. Students must present their current completion certificate before entry into an Instructor-led hands-on session.
PALS is geared towards healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.
HeartCode® PALS is an online comprehensive eLearning program that uses eSimulation technology to allow students to assess and treat patients in virtual healthcare settings. In this environment, students apply their knowledge to real-time decision-making and skills development. Blended learning requires follow-up with hands-on skills training.

The ALS: Respiratory Emergencies Module covers several of the most common respiratory emergencies including severe asthma, cardiogenic pulmonary edema, anaphylaxis, peri-intubation arrest, pulmonary embolism, and noncardiogenic pulmonary edema.
The Post-Cardiac Arrest Care Module describes the pathophysiology of a post-arrest syndrome, the initial management of post-cardiac arrest (first 30 min), and 24-to-72-hour post-ROSC management. ** Keeping in mind that 2020 Guidelines highlighted the new 6th recovery link in the Chain of Survival.
The Mechanical Circulatory Systems Module describes the introduction to mechanical circulatory support, general concepts of patient selection, and types of percutaneous mechanical circulatory support.
The purpose of this module is to educate providers on the pathophysiology and clinical manifestations of pediatric post-cardiac arrest syndrome (PCAS).
PALS Plus: Ultrasound is a self-directed, eLearning module that covers the basic principles of pediatric ultrasound physics; basic controls common to most medical ultrasound equipment; images obtained for an e-FAST ultrasound study; other applications of point-of-care ultrasound; and performing ultrasound assessments of the airway (A), breathing (B), circulation (C), and disability (D) (trauma).
Procedural sedation in the pediatric population brings additional factors beyond sedation of an adult patient. This module addresses levels of sedation and the pediatric-focused considerations associated.
This module describes the identification and management of medical emergencies in pediatric patients with special healthcare needs.
This module covers basics on identification of toxic substances through targeted history, physical exam, and diagnostic studies. It introduces common therapies for ingestions, including methods used to minimize drug absorption and enhance excretion for common poisons.
This module covers the concepts and interventions related to pediatric child abuse. It is designed to help providers recognize signs and symptoms associated with physical abuse in infants and children.
Pediatric airways are not just small adult airways; they carry special considerations and treatments. This module will compare those differences and further discuss the clinical features, diagnosis, and management tactics for obstructions and upper and lower airway diseases of the lungs.
PALS Plus: Trauma – Overview and Approach is a self-directed, eLearning module that covers concepts and interventions related to pediatric trauma. This module content addresses unique anatomic and physiologic characteristics that affect the interventions and responses to injury and subsequent management.
The American Heart Association’s ACLS Prep: Pharmacology Course is a self-directed eLearning course designed for students preparing to take an AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course.
